On Sunday the 6th of September we had our annual General Assembly meeting of the HFB at the Indian Cultural Center/Brussels Mandir in Evere, Brussels.
We had many participants from many organizations such as Martin Gurvich (Mahaprabhu Dasa) the president of the HFB, Ravinder Singh representing the Indian Cultural Center, Sammelani asbl represented by Manik Paul, Radhadesh asbl represented by Avinash Orie (Gopi Ramana Dasa) and Seamus Young (Syamananda Dasa), Centre de Bhakti Yoga asbl represented by Bruno Mestach (Vrindaranya Priya Dasa), Vedisch Cultureel Centrum represented by Peter Scherreburg (Purusottama Thirtha Dasa) and Sita Scherreburg, Namaskar asbl represented by Jeysen Rungiah and Brigitte Manikau, Bhaktivedanta College represented by Dario Knez (Dinadayal Dasa) and Tirupati Gauranga Dasa, Sanatan Dharma Sewa Parisad Belgium represented by Rabindra Nian Shrestha, Academy of Sadhana represented by Vidya, and Jorg De Mulder (Janmashtami Dasa) as the secretary.
Among other important topics such as an update on the recognition process by the Belgian Government and strategic plan for the coming 2 years, the election of a new board of directors was also on the agenda.
The following members were elected for the next 2 years:

Treasurer: Knez (Dinadayal Dasa)
Secretary: Bruno Mestach (Vrindaranya Priya Dasa),
Member: Avinash Orie (Gopi Ramana Dasa)
Martin Gurvich (executive director) and Jorg de Mulder (secretary) are part of the executive team.
We want to congratulate the newly elected, re-elected members and the executive team, wishing them all the best in carrying out this very important task of representing the various member-Hindu organisations to the Belgian Government, media, Religious leaders, as well as to the public in general.
